In a burst of angry tweets, President Donald Trump announced Friday that he is under investigation for firing former FBI Director James Comey.
He had a great deal to say on other topics first.
Trump began his tweet-storm by revisiting his long-running disgust with the fact that allegations about Russian connections to his campaign and administration are still being raised despite lack of proof.

Trump began his tweet-storm by revisiting his long-running disgust with the fact that allegations about Russian connections to his campaign and administration are still being raised despite lack of proof.
“After 7 months of investigations & committee hearings about my ‘collusion with the Russians,’ nobody has been able to show any proof. Sad!” Trump tweeted.
Trump then threw a Twittersphere elbow at the news media.
“The Fake News Media hates when I use what has turned out to be my very powerful Social Media – over 100 million people! I can go around them,” he tweeted.
Trump sought to remind his followers that despite the investigations, he is accomplishing his goals as president.
“Despite the phony Witch Hunt going on in America, the economic & jobs numbers are great. Regulations way down, jobs and enthusiasm way up!” Trump tweeted.
Then came a tweet that revealed what had only been alleged.
